Day Tours and Off-Campus Sightseeing ^{* included in the course package}

In order to add a cultural dimension to the activities programme, L.I.K.E. also offers day tours and off-campus sightseeing organized during weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) to help students increase their ability to use the English language in a wide range of real-life situations and improve their oral skills as they progress from level to level.

Once you finish each 6-week course, Day Tours (usually 2-days 1-night) are organized as our celebration of your success. Proposed destinations are as follows:

1. Hundred Islands, Pangasinan - after you finish Beginners Level                                    2. Pagudpud Beach, Ilocos Norte - after you finish Intermediate Level                               3. Zoobic Safari and Ocean Adventure, Pampanga - after you finish Advanced Level

Cultural Encounters and Festivals ^{* included in the course package}

Fiesta or Festivals are part and parcel of the Filipino culture. Through good times or bad times, a Filipino Festival must go on. In La Union, each town and barrio has at least one local festival of its own, usually on the feast of its patron saint. Festivals are celebrated with all the pomp and pageantry every fun-loving Filipino can manage.

Experiencing a fiesta is another way to look at the idea of culture in ESL classrooms as a means of providing opportunities for English language learners to share aspects of their own cultural backgrounds to other people. Organized activities for students going out of the classroom environment may offer an opportunity to share information. Asking questions like, "Where are you from?" and "What do you do for fun?" can teach basic conversational skills while also opening a dialogue about students' backgrounds and experiences.

Learn to Surf at San Juan Surf Resorts ^{* optional; NOT included in the course package}

It may be true that surfing requires lots of patience, dedication and a certain degree of sacrifice to start with. But it is also true that when the first step is done, we will be ready to enjoy one of the most pleasant water sports. Fun and exciting, young people learn how to surf with balance. Once they are able to navigate, they also start to play with the waves.

San Juan, a town in La Union is a popular surf destination for surfing enthusiasts. Various surf resorts boasts their beaches with surfing waves for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. They will be always supervised by professional trainers for safety.

Evening Activities ^{* optional; NOT included in the course package}

The evening activities organized by the L.I.K.E. team are favorable moments during which you can practice your newly acquired language skills in a relaxed way. Whether for cinema, barbecue, camping and bonfire, sing-along bar or disco, our activity coordinators in charge of the activities make every effort that you bond with your friends and make memorable progress.

Sunday Christian Fellowship ^{* OPTIONAL but Highly Recommended!}

We are aware of our desire and responsibility found in Leviticus 19:34: "The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself."

One of the privileges of being a part of Lorma Colleges is experiencing Christian fellowship and community by participating in Sunday Worships. Small groups are made up of families and individuals with the primary purpose of caring for each other and helping one another walk with the LORD in every situation of life. The meeting frequency and times are determined by each group. Typically, meetings last an hour and a half and include prayer, studying a biblical topic or book, sharing, and fellowship.

Accommodation at Puerto de San Juan ^{* included in the course package}

At Lorma Colleges, we do not only provide the best English language learning experience, we also give the students the best accommodations at a hotel and resort-type settings.

Puerto de San Juan is located just a few kilometers away from the course centre. The resort has wide variety of spacious room options. Each room consisits of equally-sized bed, a bathroom, dining and kitchen room, study area, cable TV, piped-in music, telephone, a refrigerator and  all rooms are airconditioned. The resort also has sports complex for sports enthusiast, a souvenir shop, and picnic areas.
